Inspired by the magnificent tropic seabird with the endlessly long white tail, this series of mixed-media collage works celebrates movement, motion, repetition and form.
In cutting away all environmental elements from the original photographs, the form and flight of these creatures takes center stage. Through the use of paint, depth and dimension is created by treating all visible surfaces of each cradled panel with varying shades of color, as well as the addition of graphic linear elements.
